What are the requirements of joining this guild?
There are few requirements for joining this guild other than "don't be a dick", though discord is required (you don't need to have mic/voice!), and the Greymoor Chapter and Markarth DLC are largely recommended to properly participate, as the guild is focused primarily in Western Skyrim, Blackreach, and the Reach. The Wrothgar zone/Orsinium DLC is also recommended but not required.
What level of RP are you looking for?
While we aren't elitists, we do tend to lean towards intermediate/casual but serious RP, and sometimes heavy-RP. Generally we just like to see good grammar, spelling, proper dialogue with quote marks "like this", using brackets to indicate OOC chatter ((like this)), etc.
Really, as long as your company is enjoyable, your posts legible, and you can RP in a serious and non-disruptive manner (OOCly), we're glad to have you!

I'm thinking of joining, are there any types of characters you prefer in your guild?
We're fairly open to most all types of characters, for the most part. Sometimes its the most unlikely characters you'd think of that join us and make a great addition to our guild. Sometimes its the type of character that seems "perfect" for our type of group that completely flops. If you think you'd fit in well, please do apply!
It is however recommended that if you join with any toon, that they be at least neutrally wary of Reachmen and Daedra if not outwardly friendly towards them, seeing as the leaders are Reach and follow a Daedric Prince, although being neutral or friendly is absolutely not a requirement! (their initiation might just be a little rockier than others lol)

Are there any types of characters you prefer not to have / don't work well?
There are some character types that we've gotten several of that rarely if ever work out, although there's always an exception to the rule. Such characters we've noticed that tend to not do well are:
- Sex/Relationship-Chasing Toons.
We get characters joining more often than we like who are simply out to "hook up" their characters, especially with the leadership.
First of all, your characters won't get very far.
And second, we're not interested--and no, you won't be the exception who can "convince us otherwise where everyone else has failed". If you're just out to chase ERP and lesbian orgy flings, look somewhere else. There are plenty of those types of guilds out there. - Drunkards.
There are some cases where this works perfectly fine depending on how its played, but no your toon will not be "perfect for our mercenary band" just because they're drunk all the time and "cause all kinds of funny drunken shenanigans", sorry.
While this guild is more of a mercenary-esque one, its leadership and members are quite sober and serious people. A disciplined soldier-like character who follows the rules and thinks clearly is a lot more likely to do well in this group than a constantly-sloshed vagabond who's just out to drink and get into fist fights. Your drunken fool who causes problems is only likely to get eye-rolling and a slower promotion than anyone else. - Villainous/Deplorable Daedra Worshipers.
While the Clan is led by Daedra worshipers and aren't exactly always lawful citizens themselves, they aren't outright villains prone to vile acts either. Things like slavery, blood sacrifice, torture, etc--especially characters who are open about it--are not going to get on well with the Clan, who at least try to upkeep a public appearance of respectability and legitimacy.
This isn't to say that characters like this can't exist within the Clan, but your secretly-deranged-but-upstanding-on-the-surface toon is far more likely to be well received than your openly-deranged-and-psychopathic-murder-machine who flags their Daedra worship of every vile Daedra to ever exist loudly (worshipers of Molag Bal especially, in our experience). - Vampires.
While fairly broad on the spectrum of how people choose to play vampires, we find that in our group they just don't tend to work out, even when they think they're "the exception" to all the other vampire roleplayers. They're not against our rules, but they tend to clash with the Clan and leave before long, usually on a sour note. Join at your own risk. - Elitist and Egotistical Characters.
Its fine to have characters with egos or who think highly of themselves or have a lot of confidence to boast, but a character who behaves like they know better and can do better than whatever the Clan already has going or that the rules don't apply to them like everyone else isn't going to get very far (especially if these views overlap with your views OOC).
Your character is free to be defiant, but don't be surprised when they get knocked down a few pegs for it or get punished instead of rewarded for their hubris. - Racists / Sexists / Homophobes / etc.
Generally we make a point to separate a characters' views from the players' views, but in this case we find more often than not (but not always) players who feel comfortable playing toons who are racist/sexist/phobic are often racist/sexist/phobic themselves in real life. You're welcome to prove us wrong, but its generally something we don't like to see for that reason, and we will immediately kick anyone we find to have such views OOCly.
